Review #26: Just smoked another one from JAN 02 production run. Purchased from my man in HONGKONG, what a classic. Dark very, very, dark oily smooth flawless wrappers are an indication you are in for a treat. Packed and rolled as tight as a brick, with nary a problem with the draw, i have smoked several boxes to date from the 02 production and only a few hav had a tight draw, did not have to toss the cigar. The oily dark wrappers are a sight to behold, once lit you can acrually see the oils running from the hot tip. The flavors of strong well aged tobacco is the mainstay, entwined with strong black coffee and strong dark chocolate. These are classic bolivar because of the strength of the tobaccos, strong and pungent, like a true bolivar. I recently tried some Bolivar Fuerte from the dominican republic and they are very good for non cuban, they have a unique and heady aroma almost like the cubans. However with the cubans you get the true decedent and intoxicating aromas that only Bolivar can produce. These aromas are true head turners, when my wife and i are out eating in a restauraunt and i light a bolivar after dinner, i usually get a few very nice comments, usually from the ladies. I usually try and keep at least 5 boxes of these in stock at all times. - Submitted by bigyesta on March 9, 2005

Review #25: Michael, sad to say that problems like the one you experienced are all too common among Cubans. Although I have never experienced plugged Royal Coronos -- one of my very favorite smokes and my fav robusto -- I have come to expect at least 10-20% of the sticks in any given box to have some sort of construction probem. I dream of the day when the construction quality of the best non-Cubans is married with the ethereal and unmatched flavor of the Habanos. . . . - Submitted by Snuka on February 6, 2005

Review #24: The Bolivar Royal Corona was my introduction to Cuban cigars several years ago. It was a wonderful introduction. However, two years ago I stopped buying this cigar because I experienced problems with blockage in two boxes that I purchased, one each, from two reputable sellers in Europe. Has anyone else experienced this problem? - Submitted by Michael on February 5, 2005

Review #23: After reading all those rave reviews about this cigar, I was ready to order a box. Thankfully I decided to try it out first. Very good construction, even burn, perfect draw with ample amounts of smoke. If smoked correctly, it gives you atoun 70-90 minutes of pleasure. It never gets hot, and the taste never becomes tarry. The tastes were not of the typical Bolivar, however. Nevertheless, the cigar tasted nice, started with a mild taste and from the second third onwards, smell and taste of dark chocolate prevailed. A very nice cigar, but didnt drive me crazy. I will try out all the other robustos in order to decide which one is for me. - Submitted by Dimitris in Athens - Greece on January 21, 2005
